Mary Elizabeth Peacock was born on May 17, 1875 in Blountstown, Florida and died on December 23, 1957 in Blountstown, Florida. She lived to be 82 years old.
About 1903 they lived in a home at the present day corner of Angle and Main St. In about 1908 they moved west of town in the area of present day Hummingbird Way. The homestead was originally own by Jonas Bailey. She became tired of living so far out in the county and her husband spending long days in town. So, in 1912 John bought some land on Hwy 69 north from Levi Yon and built a large home there. Years later they moved even closer in to a home next to the feed store on Main St. |
