I am a professional genealogist and have been actively researching my family and others for more than 20 years. I started like most, researching my own family roots in the late 1990s. After I retired in 2010, however, I began to spend more time helping others with their family research. Below are links to reports, books, and other publications currently available on the Internet:
Books
Currently, there is only one book, Henry J. Tucker Jumps Ship in Apalachicola, Florida which can be purchased on Amazon.com as a paperback or hardcover. In 1866, an 18-year-old Henry J. Tucker jumps ship in Apalachicola, FL and starts a new life with Samantha McClellan (from Calhoun County, FL). This is the story of their lives, and the lives of their children and grandchildren. Some of his descendants become loggers, boat builders, blacksmiths, and inventors. At one time the family owned several blocks in downtown Apalachicola, FL. They are resourceful and resilient. They also love to have fun. Read about the hog that "pinched Uncle Roy in the butt," WitchCraft boats, the old Apalachicola Drawbridge, female bridges, the railroad, the little anvil that couldn't, cattle on Towhead, Cypress Lumber Company, running a bicycle shop, running a blacksmith shop, making bolts, oyster tongs, the endless water pump, Mercury outboard motors, and many other stories from this family's past.
