In the name of God, Amen. I Stephen Peacock being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and memory blessed be to God for the same and for the better settling of my worldy affairs do give in form as followeth-- Item I give and bequeath unto my son Michael Peacock one horse by the name of Jol (or Sol). My will and desire is that my son John Brown Peacock should have a horse raised from my young mare as sonn as convenient. Also my will and desire is that my wife and family shall have my stock crop or as much thereof as will be sufficient for them to support on one year. I also have it in the power of my Executor to give my wife and family farming utensils of every description that I have. Also household and kitching furniture accordingly I also have the whole of my plantation and lands to the use of my wife and family yet under the controle of my Executor during her natural life after her death all of my property to be sold and equally divided amongst all my children. I also wish my wife to have my two negroes Charles and Litha yet in the power of my Executor to take them away from her and put them to the use of my family. Lastly I constitute my Brother Raiford Peacock Executor to this my last will and testament making all other wills void and of no effect and do further publish this to be my last will and testament in witness whereoff I the testator have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty fifth day of November and in the year of our Lord one thousand eight Hundred and nineteen. Wayne County February Term 1820 This was the above will of Stephen Peacock exhibited in open Court for probate which was duly proved by the oath of John Perkins a subscribing witness and at the same Time Raiford Peacock appeared and Qualified as executor to said Will & let it be Recorded.
