His grand parents were James Russell Price (1832 GA - 11/24/1915 FL) & Nancy Caroline Straughn (1835 -1924). The Price family came to the US from Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales before 1750.

John & Josephine had seven children: Maggie (1908 - ), Floyd Edgar (1910 - 1983), Inez (1912 - ). Vertie (1914 - ), Cecil Ray (1917 - 1962), Allie M. (1919 - ) & Albert P. (1922 -1981).
