Additional Remarks: Name on a petition, Nov. 22 ,1779, to Governor James Wright from inhabitants of Queensborough and a few from Brier Creek all in St. George’s Parish complaining of no court in their district and thanking the Governor for the commissions for Captain Morison and Lieutenant Ronaldson. They also petition for Mathew Lyle and Gavin Ronaldson as majors for the upper district, David Russell as Captain and for magistrates they recommend Mathew Lyle and Samuel Montgomery. They all have been loyal to the British Government.
