Hazel Martin Howard
Mrs. Hazel Martin Howard, 74, of 1516 Chandlee Ave. ,died Friday at 5:35 am in her home. She was a resident here since 1940 moving here for Ozark, Ala. She was a sales clerk at J.C. Penny Company, she worked with Bay County Food Service for several years and retired as a bookkeeper and office manager of Howard Motors. She was a charter member of Hiland Park Baptist Church, where she worked with Girls Auxiliary and youth before moving into the Esther Adult Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her husband, Joel Amos Howard of Panama City; a son and daughter in law, French and Joan Napper of Gurden Ark.; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three stepsons, Frank Howard of Tallahassee, Joel A. Howard Jr. of Pompano Beach, George B. Howard of Pensacola, a step-daughter Mrs. Sandra Jo Howard Elliott of Pensacola. several step grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Hamm and Mrs. Pearl Stanley, both of Panama City; a sister in law, Mrs. Ruby martin of Pensacola; and a brother in law , Harry T. Norton Jr. of Panama City.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Hiland Park Baptist Church with Rev. Ernest Parvin officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The Family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. Those desiring to may in lieu of flowers make a contribution to the Gulf Coast College Foundation, 5230 Highway 98, Panama City, FLa. 32405
