Odis Singleton Dies Suddenly At Work - Fueral services for Odis Lavern Singleton, age 41, will be held tomorrow, Jan 8, at the Mt. Pleasant Church in Decatur County at three o'clock p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Paul Irvin, of Newton, Ga., and Rev. Jake Scott, of Mt. Pleasant Church. Serving as pallbearers will be Ward Worsham, James E. Singleton, Glenn Singleton, Jake Singleton, Gordon Singleton, and Robert Taylor. Mr. Singleton died very suddenly yesterday afternoon, Thursday, January 6, 1966. He was born in Mitchell County and had lived most of his life here. He was born December 18, 1924, son of the late Albert Gordon Singleton and Ida Mae Crosson Singleton. He was a World War II veteran, a carpenter by trade, and a member of the Greenwood Free Will Baptist Church. He was currently employed by T. L. Kirbo Company and died while on the job. His survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Ann Wisham Singleton; four sons, Odis L. Singleton, Jr., Phillip Singleton, Randall, and Dennis Singleton; two daughters, Teresa and Kathy Singleton; two brothers, Dorsey Singleton of Albany, Ga., and Lamar Singleton, of Camilla; two sisters, Mrs. Levi Worsham, of Camilla, and Mrs. Charles Congrove, of Springfield, Mass. Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla will have charge of all arrangements.
