Lou Ann Walker was born on August 20, 1865 in Douglas County, Georgia and died on October 26, 1950 in Haralson County, Georgia. She lived to be 85 years old.

She married Christopher Columbus 'Lum' Peyton (9/?/1855 - 12/29/1935) in Haralson County on November 18, 1886. Both are buried in the old Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery in Haralson County. Their children are:

Lottie V. Peyton (9/?/1887 - 1966) She married Charlie Posey.
Katie M. Peyton (10/21/1889 - ??). She married Joe Whitten.
Roxanna 'Roxie' Peyton (12/?/1892 - ??). She married Arthur Abernathy.
Leola Estelle Peyton (1/?/1895 - ??). She married Elbert Williamson.
David C. Peyton (1/27/1897 - ??). He married Dora Wood.
Wiley C. Peyton (10/?/1899 - 1975). He married Herschel Williams. He is buried at the New Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.
