His father was William Thomas Jones (1875-1940). Zora was the Great great-grandson of Matthew Jones (1754-1843). Zora was a farmer and lived and worked next door to his brother, James Edward Jones, who also was a farmer. James married Zoras' sister in law (Maggie Merritt).
Zora married Olivia Merritt.
